What is the role?

We have an exciting and brand new opportunity for an Assistant Club Secretary to join our Football Operations & Administration team at our elite Staplewood Campus. In this role, you will be assisting the Club Secretary with the administration and upkeep of all aspects of Player and Team administration for the First Team, Development Squad and Women’s Football Programme.

Your professionalism, football knowledge, understanding of the game and organisational skills will be integral in supporting the Club Secretary to manage the operational support required.

From the 2018/2019 season, this role will grow to be responsible for all governing body, fixtures and contractual matters relating to the Women’s Programme, providing the link between the Women’s game and the FDSC Management Team.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a hard working individual who has a positive, can-do attitude and the flexibility to be able to meet the varied working hours and demanding work load.

The successful candidate will have experience of professional football contracts and transfer documentation as well as knowledge of all Football Regulations including the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.

You will be experienced in managing staff and be able to work successfully alongside different departments to ensure that required information is shared amongst relevant parties.

Essential Experience:
• Experience of Professional Football Contracts and Transfer Documentation.
• Knowledge of all Football Regulations including the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.
• A comprehensive understanding and enthusiasm for football and the structure of the game at all levels.
• Experience of Managing staff in a respectful manner.
• Experience of operational and organisational duties.

Desired Experience:
• Competent in the use of FIFA TMS.
• Experience of organising and planning of Professional Football Matches and Training Camps both within the UK and overseas.
• Knowledge of the UEFA Club Licensing procedure.

Essential Qualifications incl. certifications:
• Educated to GCSE level, grades A-C (or equivalent)

Desired Qualifications incl. certifications:
• Sports Business related qualification.
• Management qualification.

Essential Skills:
• Acute levels of attention to detail at all times.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team, and to get on well with others.
• Competent when working independently.
• Ability to work closely with other departments to ensure that required information is exchanged between all parties.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality of work.
• Ability to prioritise workload and to meet regular, but critical deadlines.
• Excellent level of computer literacy including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Proven ability to use own initiative, show flexibility and be trustworthy.
• Must be prepared to work long hours with the potential for travel within the UK and Overseas.
• Positive attitude.
