Job Description

As the national governing body for athletics, overseeing the development and management of the Olympic and Paralympic sport from grassroots right through to podium, UKA is a high performance focused organisation. Following our athlete’s successes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2012 and 2016, and looking forward to Tokyo 2020 off the back of our two home World Championships in 2017, there has never been a more exciting opportunity to be part of this team and support GB athletes and coaches to success.

We are seeking a Media Officer with a strong flair for digital and social media to support the activities of the wider UK Athletics’ media team and enhance the coverage of British athletes and British athletics through regional media channels.

• To achieve enhanced coverage for athletes representing Great Britain and Northern Ireland at all levels through regional media channels
• To support the wider media team in their delivery of the Olympic and Paralympic Team performance programme media.
• To provide communications support for key NGB governance areas
• To support the wider comms team with content creation, digital output including delivery of content for e-shots / website / event programmes
• This role will involve being on call to support the Media team, and working events over weekends nationally and potentially internationally when required.
