35 Hours per week

Swim England is the national governing body for swimming in England.
We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water, and compete in our sports of swimming, diving, water polo and synchronised swimming.

We are seeking a National Child Safeguarding Officer to join our team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity working within the Legal department, as part of the Child Safeguarding team, you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to Swim England members.

Reporting to the Director of Legal, you will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for advising clubs and members on a wide range of child welfare and safeguarding issues, providing support and information on procedures and legislation.

The successful candidate must:
• Have an excellent understanding of Child Safeguarding and its importance for our sport.
• Have excellent communications skills and able to signpost people effectively.
• Be able to work dispassionately with the ability to distinguish between observation, facts, information gained from others, and opinion.
